The 15-Second Sabotage
“I really like him, what if he thinks ‘such and such’ (whatever the idea of concern) is a relationship dealbreaker.” “I’ll say ‘I’ll be able to pay that bill (whatever condition you consider using).” Or, to save face or your feeling of embarrassment about something, “I’ll say, ‘(the excuse used to indicate reason you can’t do or participate in something)’.” “What if (a health situation continues to go in some thought-of negative direction).” Or “What if I lose my train of thought in the interview.” Or you imagine some compromising constriction of some sort.
By definition, sabotage is an interference.
The 15-Second Sabotage is a thought or imagining of fearful experience or consequence. It occurs over an approximately 15 second timeframe for the thought or imagining to be indulged. Your mind plays it out about the slightest to most intense worrisome things. And sabotage is an apt word – by definition, sabotage is an interference of some sort which means that free of the interference a dynamic operates as its optimum nature. Think about that, free of sabotage something operates as its optimum nature naturally.
Fundamentally, optimum functioning is natural.
The implication of that simple reality – something operates optimally by its own nature – free of sabotaging thoughts and imaginings, means fundamentally, optimum functioning is natural – dare I say, normal. So then, what is this phenomenon of worry – the 15-second sabotage – about?
It is, in effect, a lending out of the mind. You are “lending” your mind to a propaganda of perception that demonstrates worrisome thoughts and imaginings. You don’t need to stop or cease negative thinking per se, you decide to retrieve your mind from the propaganda. The reclaiming, as it were, of the mind.
This proposition – the reclaiming of mind’s usage – is a profoundly leverageable concept with which to approach mind thought processing. It’s brilliant, quite frankly. Instead of battling and suffering with worry and negative thinking, you decide to reclaim your mind from being ‘lent’ to the propaganda of it.
You are not trying to ‘think’ positive…
You are not trying to ‘think’ positive to counter negative thinking and its consequences, nor are you efforting to control your thoughts. You are activating your prerogative to retrieve – reclaim – your mind from trafficking in thought ideas that have subconsciously commandeered it.
It is profoundly proactive rather than reactive. Remember, free of sabotage you operate naturally optimally! Reclaiming your mind is reclaiming your life.
Activation Step
When (as) you witness negative thoughts and imaginings say to yourself, “I am not lending my mind to that sabotaging thought program.” Launch this recourse and gently yet relentlessly utilizing its application insistently forges a mastery of your mind’s jurisdiction. The results are growing peace of mind and experiences that increasingly reflect naturally optimum possibility.
Additionally, frequently visualize a sign in a business storefront that says, “We no longer lend.” Remember the beneficial context of this visualization solely refers to no longer lending your mind to sabotaging thoughts!
