Two Sugars or One with Your Racism?

No nobody likes to be marginalized. Whether it’s due to the color of your skin or the color of your hair. Clearly, the former is unquestionably more life threatening, life altering, and all too often, life losing. Many U.S. commentaries on the strife have approached it from what it means to be an American; the good and the bad of it, I’m going to approach it from what it means to be alive.

You belong to an extraordinary fraternity of aliveness – a species that is aware its aware. Dogs are not aware they are dogs, birds are not aware they are birds, tortoises are not aware they are turtles – you get the point.

You, on the other hand, are aware that your being is functioning as a human. That level of consciousness is why you are cable of extraordinary advantages to your aliveness.
Other species are studied because of their extraordinary natural capacities – but they themselves are not aware they possess them.

The very fact you as a species can study other species not out of instinct but out of choice speaks to your incredible aliveness opportunity. You have been blessed with such freedom of choice, why on earth (literally) would you choose to marginalize?

I implore you to truly appreciate your power to choose. To choose to love, to embrace, to recognize that we are all members of the same extraordinary fraternity – and therefore celebrate all the distinctions – yes, all – of that fraternal order. This creates a life environment that fully franchises everyone’s equal liberty of choice. When one’s choices are systematically limited it marginalizes.

Use your incredible awareness of aliveness, don’t allow its conditioning to use you. It’s profoundly apolitically simple: if you are occupied by celebrating – there is no room to hate.
